What we are building

The iPhone app offers three ways to create an inventory: manual Quick Pick, photo-assisted recognition, and LiDAR RoomPlan on supported devices. Every detected item remains editable. A deterministic sizing engine then evaluates volume, floor footprint, stackability, furniture orientation, door clearance, packing preference, and future boxes.

Why the human checkpoint matters

Household photos are messy. Objects overlap, furniture blocks smaller items, and generic image labels can be wrong. StorageUnit treats recognition as a draft, not a final answer. You approve the list before it affects the recommendation.

How StorageUnit makes money

The app and website launch free with no advertising. StorageUnit may earn referral commissions from eligible storage reservations. Providers and referral partners are modular, and compensation is separate from the sizing logic.

Current status

StorageUnit is available through an approved external TestFlight beta. You can use the web calculator today or install the iPhone beta through TestFlight.
