Privacy Policy

StorageUnit is designed to calculate an appropriate storage-unit size while collecting as little personal information as practical.

Photos and room scans

Photos selected for item detection and RoomPlan measurements are processed using Apple frameworks. StorageUnit does not send room photos, room models, or item-level inventory details to storage providers or affiliate networks.

Inventory data

Your reviewed inventory is stored locally on your device using Apple data-storage frameworks. Deleting the app may delete this local information.

Website calculator

The web calculator runs in your browser. The quantities you enter are not transmitted to StorageUnit or saved by this website.

Location searches

If you search for nearby storage, the ZIP code you enter is transmitted to the provider-search service solely to return relevant facilities, pricing, amenities, and availability.

Product analytics

StorageUnit may collect anonymous product-interaction events such as starting an assessment, viewing a recommendation, or opening a provider result. These events do not include room photos, item names, advertising identifiers, contact information, or precise location.

Affiliate measurement

When you choose an eligible provider link, StorageUnit may create a random click identifier. A provider or affiliate network may return that identifier if a reservation is completed so that a commission can be measured. Affiliate compensation never changes the recommended unit size.

Advertising and data sales

StorageUnit does not display third-party advertising and does not sell personal information.

Children

StorageUnit is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

This policy may be updated as the product evolves. The latest version will remain available on this page.
